Hytek Wins Second Prize in Inaugural "Kede Cup" China Machinery Industry Education-Integration Innovation Competition
On November 23-24, the inaugural "Kede Cup" China Machinery Industry Education-Integration Teaching Innovation Competition was held at Zhejiang University. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, China Machinery Industry Outstanding Engineer Education Alliance, and China Science and Technology Development Foundation.
After intense competition, the entry titled "Creating 'News Broadcast-Style' Classroom for Deep Industry-Education Integration—Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission Course Development and Practice", led by Associate Professor Cui Yan of Huazhong University of Science and Technology with Hytek as a co-implementing unit, won the Second Prize in the undergraduate category.
The competition, officially launched in June 2024, aims to deepen industry-education integration in the machinery sector and drive innovation in teaching methodologies. Adopting a two-tier competition system , the award-winning project first secured First Prize in regional selections before advancing to the National Finals.
The award-winning project addresses a critical challenge in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission courses: bridging the gap between theory and practice. Traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students due to their overreliance on theoretical content without hands-on application.
To solve this, the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) teaching team pioneered an innovative "News Broadcast-Style" interactive teaching model:
In-Class Segment ("Studio Anchor"): Professors deliver theoretical instruction in the classroom.
Live Factory Segment ("Field Reporter"): Hytek Deputy General Manager Zhai Likui conducts real-time production site broadcasts, virtually bringing the factory into the lecture hall. This segment integrates practical knowledge of hydraulic component manufacturing, processes, and materials.
This industry-academia co-teaching approach achieves three breakthroughs:
1.Cross-Disciplinary Integration: Links course content with manufacturing, materials science, and other disciplines at the application level.
2.Multi-Dimensional Skill Development: Enhances students’ practical understanding of hydraulic components through immersive, multi-perspective learning.
3.Engagement Revolution: Transforms passive learning into an interactive experience mirroring professional workflows.
This award not only recognizes Hytek's achievements in industry-education integration practices, but also affirms our commitment to cultivating innovative high-quality talents.
Looking ahead, Hytek will continue to:Deepen industry-education integration、Stimulate new quality productivity、Achieve organic convergence of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain and innovation chain、
Promote higher-level integration between industry and education
